Kevin and Evelyn

Evelyn, a 19-year-old with a deep bond to Earth, and her 10-year-old brother Kevin form a vibrant musical duo. Once wanderers in a dangerous world, they now live hidden in the Echoine Lands’ ancient woods. Using scraps, nature, and found objects, their dark, multi-genre, folk music turns the ordinary of this realm into hauntingly beautiful melodies, embodying a reflection of their survival over the years.

 

With a personal relationship with the hybrids, Evelyn has found herself able to talk and respond to, and feel out the emotions of the beings she once lost her previous world to. Similarly, she can also read the palms of humans, sensing intentions and impending doom through her “he said/she said” connection to the surrounding flora. 

 

She values all life and dreams of restoring the balance among animals, humans, and plants. After living alone since she was a child and saving baby Kevin when abandoned, Evelyn has become wary of people. Though typically reserved, Evelyn speaks passionately about what she loves when the moment permits.

 

Kevin’s boundless energy complements Evelyn’s calm demeanor. But together, in the midst of embodying the tunes they play, they transform Echoine Lands into something more truthful and revealing in nature, embodying hope and resilience in a fractured world.

 

Her abilities soon begin to draw the attention of Perseus, the Plant King, who may cause some havoc among her, Kevin, and her newfound friends.
